Reports that Capcom has silenced speculation over bonus player characters in Lost Planet 2 by releasing more information concerning which characters will be unlockable.by Takeuchi and his team, Xbox 360 players will be able to unlock Marcus Fenix (of Gears of War fame) to play through the game’s storyline. However, what you probably didn’t know is that PS3 owners will be able to play as an armoured Monster Hunter from the series of the same name.In addition, a third character is available on both consoles: The Star of Dead Rising – Frank West, with attendant giant teddy bear in tow. Albert Wesker, from Capcom’s stellar Resident Evil franchise is also unlockable for both consoles.
If you were worried that Lost Planet 2 wouldn't offer the level of character customization you were hoping for, you can stop worrying now. Check out this blog post from someone who is apparently, in the know (I wasn't able to figure out who 'Snow' is but he definitely has a wealth of knowledge to share). Character appearance is extremely customizable:
Gears characters playable in Lost Planet 2. Fenix and Santiago already signed up. News by Ellie Gibson, Contributor. Updated on 26 January. May 19, 2014 Custom Character Unlock w/o Campaign? I have been poking around the notion of save files online but keep hitting dead ends, kinda bought this game under the notion that I might be able to play a customized character in the capaign with a friend rather than the default ugly mugs.
The game is loaded with various factions, all with their own cultures. You'll be getting parts to these characters as you play, and it's all interchangeable. You'll be able to swap out heads/helmets, torso/armor, backpacks/t-eng canisters, and their legs/boots. Not only that, but each of those pieces has various colors and patterns to choose from.
Plus, there will be abilities, weapons, emotes (the next level of T-bagging), and titles that can all be changed to make your character even more unique than your friends' characters. Lost Planet 2 is sounding more and more like an RPG, which, in terms of customization, is a characteristic many of us here are particularly fond of.
